Those Boots ♥

As you must know, I love boots. I am strictly, Boots in the winter and Flip flops or sandals in the summer (except next summer might be different since I have been introduced to Toms... :) ) Anyway, I love my boots and I wear them everyday when it is cold. I have had these boots for about 4 years now, got them for Christmas in 2008. They have been wonderful and are just barely starting to fall apart a little which makes me sad, but I think they probably have one more winter if I don't step in any type of liquid that is too deep. I have worn them with just about every outfit in the winter. They go very well with jeans too.

Wardrobe Set #2

This is one of my most favorite outfits that I created myself about 2 summers ago. I was walking around at Old Navy just looking around at their clothes and such, not really finding anything I absolutely loved. Then I saw this dress, it was a blue strapless dress that was tiered and had a floral print. I loved it, but I was afraid to look at the price tag as it wasn't in the clearance section. Ugh $30.00! For this little summer dress...? I didn't have money for that! I was bummed because it was perfect and I had just the right items to add to it. I decided to go back later during the week with more money, hoping maybe the price would go down. Luckily, I had enough money for it and I think it got marked down to maybe about $25.00. Still a little pricey for this particular dress, but I definitely have gotten my moneys worth of it. :)

This outfit is one of my best creations yet. I always wear it with the black cardigan I mentioned in my last post (Wardrobe Set #1). In the summer it is a little different, I don't wear the tights and I replace the boots with my cute silver sandals I have. I will get to those later.

I usually wear the black ribbon it came with around my waist, but I need to fix a few things so that the ribbon will stay on. The ribbon does complete the outfit though, I must say. Now the cardigan, I would wear it open to show the ribbon, but I have realized that it looks better closed since the ribbon is not available for now. I just think it looks a little funny with it open, but I am still not sure.

Um ya...still working on my camera skills..haha :)

I love these tights. They are super warm and I wear them often in the winter. They have a nap feel to them, like ridge textured. I received them for a Christmas or birthday present, but I am not quite sure. They probably came from Kohl's, but it was a long time ago.

After gathering all these items and creating this outfit, I felt pretty confident. I felt that this was a great success and it inspired me to keep going and create more. I often sketch ideas as well with clothes I don't have and hope to someday put them together as well. Thanks for reading :)

Wardrobe Set #1

As you know creating my outfits is one of my most favorite things in the morning. Last week I had a few outfits I had put together and I felt pretty good about them. One thing you should know about me is that I LOVE white jeans. They are so fun and I love to wear soft pinks, deep reds, and navys with them. Last Thursday I put together kind of a holiday look. Blacks, reds, and, whites were all included. My top was a deep red tank top that is tiered with layers of lace. I added a simple black cardigan and a silver bow necklace to it. My white jeans and black knee length suede boots completed the look. Please forgive me for my "not so professional pictures", but here is one of many of my creations :)

This picture is not the best, the color is a little off, but here is the my top. I love this tank top, I have worn it alot, maybe too much that it is starting to look a little old :/ haha. I purchased this tank top at 5.7.9 at my local mall. I think I bought it for about $14.99...maybe $7.99...haha it was about 2 summers ago so it is hard to remember. I am so glad I bought this though, it has given me a lot of compliments :)

The black cardigan is lovely too :) I wear it with so many outfits that I wish I had more of these. They are so simple and they go with everything. It just buttons up and is 3/4 sleeved. I found this at JC Penny for I am thinking about $12.99 to $15.99. Again it was a long time ago hehe.

And my wonderful silver bow necklace was purchased at American Eagle. "It was a buy one get one free" deal so this necklace was free! This receives a lot of compliments too :)

Here are the amazing white jeans...I am actually wearing them right now ha. These jeans are so comfortable, but the downside is you need to be careful where you sit and such, white is attracted to everything haha so far I have been able to keep them white and take care of them. I did not get the jeans at the greatest price, but I needed them so it was worth it. $19.99 at Rue21.

My boots are the typical suede black knee length boots that every girl has. They are cute and go with almost everything, but I haven't been too happy with them. They are not the best quality as they will begin to sag and fall down, they just start look really sad basically haha. Typically, they have only lasted me a year every time. I bought my first pair and they looked this way by summer....they aren't snow worthy of course. I would say these kind of boots would be better to just wear in the fall and then for the winter, if you have snow or have any sort of wet winter, move on to a more durable boot if you want these to last more than 6 months to a year. Within the past 2 years, I have purchased this kind of boot twice and this year I am going to just go find some leather looking boots. (Need help finding some that are affordable and good quality. If anyone can help please let me know!) Anyway, the second time I bought these I found them at Kohl's for about $30.00. They are the Candies brand. I really wanted gray ones instead, but couldn't ever find any in stock, so I settled for black ones again.

I have curled my hair and done cute little ringlets with this outfit too. My make up is mostly just simple, smokey eye. Still too scared to try the bold red lip stick, but maybe one day. I'm not too sure if that would look good or not though. We will see :)
The items I hope to find and buy in the future would be some sort of white lacy tights (can't seem to find these anywhere). I would really like to try the colored jeans as well, they seem really fun too. I am in desperate need of new boots haha ones that will last. Those motorcycle type jackets, I'm not quite sure what they are called, but they seem to be in right now. I love the look of them though. I think those long pea coats that you would wear with a dress are soo adorable. Especially when they have ruffles on them haha I love ruffles. I am keeping an eye open for any of these clothing items and hope to add them to my closet soon. If you have any questions on fashion/beauty just ask! Have a wonderful day and hope to talk to you soon!

Daily Routine

Got my hot chocolate........ready to blog :)
Since high school graduation, things have been different between juggling college, work, and family. Being out of grade school is a very different experience haha I haven't had to get up super early for school and such, that has been nice :)

My normal daily routine goes a little like this: I really try to wake up before 10 a.m...I would really like if i could wake up at 9:30 a.m. haha. It takes me too long to try to pick out my outfit. It just must be right and make me feel good and confident. In my opinion I don't have a particular style, I will just wear anything that I think will look good together. I'm not a total fashion expert...yet :) Most of the time though, people will compliment me on my outfits so then I know I must be doing something right. In the near future I plan on posting all my outfits that were a success and all my drawings of what I someday hope to create.

Deciding what to wear in the morning is one of the most important parts of your day in my opinion (breakfast is #1 :) of course). Your outfit can set how your day may go in so many different ways. Starting your day off in something that you feel really good in is a great start to becoming positive. Then when you have gone about your day and have socialized and been around people, if you feel good in that outfit then stay that way, don't let anyone bring you down. Soon I will give some tips and tricks on how to create a safe, but amazing outfit. But honestly, the secret to fashion is there are none! There are no rules to fashion anymore. You set your own trends :)

So back to that routine...After picking that outfit, I take a shower. Now styling that hair is another story! My hair is very long and thick. I love it to death and I never dream of cutting it off, but let me tell ya! It's definitely a job to comb it all out, dry it, and style it all within maybe 45 minutes. haha I know that's probably really bad, no one should probably take that long doing their hair for just a regular day. I have long hair though so please don't judge haha. When I have hair that just had a nice trim it doesn't take me long at all to comb it all out. Blow drying it is what takes the most time. A lot of the time I don't dry it all the way because first, that would take probably an hour and second, heat is actually really not good for your hair, the less you can use heat on your hair the better your hair will behave and grow. I know from experience because when I was little I never used a blow drying. I actually hated it and didn't really know how to use it...haha oh gosh that's embarrassing. But it's true, I actually have really only started using the blow drying for only a few years. I used to just let it air dry and I would go to bed with it wet, which I do not recommend by the way. I think that is why my hair has always been so long and thick though, I hardly used heat on it. Oh! and I never dyed or bleached it! My mom never would let me do all that stuff that other girls got to do when they were young, but I am so glad she didn't let me. She kept my hair to stay beautiful and healthy all through my teenage years. I have dyed it now since I graduated, but it is only one streak, not my whole head. I never want to do that.

Make up is next. I don't have any big exotic things for make up, just the basics: foundation, blush, eye shadow, eye liner, and mascara. Not too much but the right amount to have fun with. I will apply my foundation first and then my eye shadow. I love love love eye shadow. ha I'm not one to have crazy colors, but I have fun picking the colors everyday. Most of the time I will do a smokey eye because that will go with everything as long as it is not too heavy and extreme. You can do a light smokey eye. When I was a young teen, not knowing much about make up, I used to apply too much eye shadow and lots of eye liner. Wasn't the best idea especially at that young. I finally realized that I needed to tone it down a whole lot when I got contacts for the first time. My mom did tell me many times that I needed to use less make up, but of course I didn't listen to her so I learned the hard and embarrassing way hehe. After the eye shadow, I finish off with liner, mascara, then blush. This all takes me about 10 minutes to do. I brush my teeth and I am all ready for the day.

My days consists of pinning on Pinterest, checking Facebook occasionally, eating, texting the boyfriend ♥, cracking up when babysitting my little niece and nephew, watching my TV shows (another story for another day :) ), and being a boss to lovely teenagers that I once was :) That is pretty much my day since I am out of school for now...next semester will be completely different and I hope for easy days as well! Love you all! Until next time....
